Because the Luftwaffe has tended to ignore our fighter sweeps, you will escort a small bomber group across the channel on a harassment raid against the German airfield at Cherbourg in Normandy. This incursion will not be so easily ignored. Expect fighter engagement, but do not break contact with the bombers. Enter combat only with enemy aircraft that pose an immediate and direct threat to the bombers.
Six squadron airplanes are available for this mission. You will escort four B-26B Marauder medium bombers.
